Lake Eola sits in a sinkhole in the middle of downtown, and the loop around it is close to a mile that plenty of people walk before work. Small habits are what hold. A distance session keeps the appointment out of traffic entirely, and essence blends are mixed in Michigan and posted to your address.
The name most likely comes from Shakespeare. James Speer proposed it in 1857, saying the country here was a veritable Forest of Arden, the setting of As You Like It. The competing story about a soldier named Orlando Reeves killed at the lake in 1835 does not survive the records, which historians searched in the 1970s and 1980s without finding any such man. Between 1875 and 1895 this was the hub of the Florida citrus business, and the Great Freeze of 1894 and 1895 ended that and pushed the groves south. In 1965 Walt Disney announced what he was building west of town, and it opened in October 1971.
