Sandy Springs stretches along the Chattahoochee River just north of Atlanta, with Morgan Falls Overlook Park and the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area drawing walkers and paddlers. That easy closeness to riverside green space pairs naturally with a mindful, grounded approach to wellbeing.
Nurses and clinicians fill the hospital corridor near Johnson Ferry Road, often finishing a shift long after any office has closed. Reiki offered remotely fits exactly those hours, and there is no drive through the 400 and 285 interchange waiting at either end of it.
Sandy Springs has changed counties more often than almost any place in Georgia. The corridor lay in Henry County in 1821, DeKalb from 1822, Milton from 1859 and Fulton from 1926, and the odd panhandle of the modern city, the strip reaching up to the Chattahoochee, is a survival of DeKalb's original northern boundary handed to Milton and then to Fulton. That history is the reason the city's shape looks arbitrary on a map. Its western edge is the river itself, where the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area keeps units of forested bank and trail inside the perimeter of a major metropolitan area.
