Brighton gathers around its scenic Mill Pond and tridge, a lively downtown, and the trails of Brighton State Recreation Area in the Livingston County lakes country. This outdoorsy, community-focused setting fits gentle, mindful practices well.
Living where US-23 meets I-96 usually means commuting toward Ann Arbor, Lansing or Detroit, and a good share of the week goes to the car. A remote session adds no mileage to that, and essences are mixed here in Michigan and mailed, so the only trip involved ends at your own mailbox.
Brighton unfolds around water and woodland, from the Mill Pond at the center of downtown to the wandering course of South Ore Creek nearby. Just beyond town, the Brighton State Recreation Area spreads across nearly five thousand acres of rolling trails and quiet shoreline at Bishop Lake, while the Huron River threads through Island Lake State Recreation Area to the south. These are places that invite a slower pace, a longer breath, a settling of the shoulders. A gentle practice can meet that same rhythm. Flower essences, aura sprays, and Reiki offer complementary, steadying support that many people find calming after time spent outdoors. Rev. Michael Allison works in person nearby across Metro Detroit from Madison Heights, and his distance sessions and shipped essences reach households throughout Brighton and the wider state.
